Having come up with rough story and characters, I wanted to see how this story worked with the audio. It is important that the audio is communicated through the visuals in some way, even if it's loose and interpretive. This has been an interesting experiment as I've realised how long or short a second really is, and setting the images to a pace has shown me that I'll need to reconsider some things.
To create the animatic, I quickly took pictures of each frame and put it into Premiere, and then set it to the audio following my storyboarded times as close as possible. This feels like a good way to plan out an animation compared to my others (i.e. planning as I go). However, some frames seem too fast and the audience might have trouble making sense of what's on the frame. My next step will be to show this to George and my elective group to get some feedback on the story as well as the pacing, and I plan to also research Tiffany Dufu.
